i'm not in the society, but i jus went 2 the hall 2 watch...
n of cuz 2 support ah juan...
(she was singing wif other students who were invlove 2)
ok, the beginning of the show was an umbrella dance...
of cuz not rihanna's umbrella song lar...(yan yi was one of the dancers)
the performance was very traditional but it was still nice...
to me the best performance was the fan dance...
(guess wat? yan yi's older sis, jean yi, took part in this...)
OMG! they're dance was like...awesome! i was kinda speechless at 1st...
believe me...it was really gud, no....more like excellent!
n then ah juan's singing group came up on stage after the fan dance...
1 group sang 1 song....the 1st n 2nd group kinda suck! they sang so softly..
the singing was also quite bad cuz they sang without music...
but the singing got better wen ben's group sang...very loud n clear...
wen ah juan's group sang...even better!
(i'm not jus saying it cuz she's my freind...) it was loud n clear...or better!
even without the music..they're singing was nice...theirvoices filled the hall..
and then the whole group sang 'U R NOT ALONE' BY MICHAEL JACKSON!
then only got music....
(one stupid thing is that some of the girls sitting behind me
don even noe who sang the song!!!! dummies!!!!!!!)
n then we had lunch in the hall....
the food was way better than the canteen food...
after that we had a lucky draw!
never knew ah juan n i can b so lucky!
we won some lil prizes...nothing big..but still that was unexpected!
and then worst part of the performance....believe or not but its hip hop!
cant blame the group though...got problem with the music....
they're not daring enough 2 b different....
they hardly move their body(body so stiff!)
i dance hip hop all the time cuz its my hobby n
i don need 2 watch music videos 2 noe how to dance...
i don even go 4 dance classes
(not showing off here ok...but u can say lan c if u wan 2)
TIPS ON HOW 2 DANCE HIP HOP:
1. move yr body more...must c the body shape...2 stiff looks weird...
2. must put in a lot of energy then only look 'yeng' n cool
3. try 2 b hot n sexy...be dirty if u wan 2 but must have limits n don go over board!
(being hot n sexy/dirty does not mean you're 'hiao' ok...it means that u dare 2 be different)
4. don practice last minute! practice 3/4 weeks before the performing day...
5. if you're out of ideas 4 yr dance...go seek a person who you noe n trust 2 teach u...
(better ask before you memalukan yourselves infront of an audience!)
Anyway, i had fun today...
